Aftercare – Post Appointment

• 2-4 hours after your treatment, gently wipe the freshly tattooed area with a damp cotton pad or paper towel to remove any lymph and previously applied cream. Always remember to pat dry after wiping.
• Apply a very thin layer of the provided ointment with sanitized hands.
• For the remainder of the day, repeat the above process 2 times or at least once more before bedtime to keep the wound clean and prevent thick scab formation. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing; use gentle dabbing motions and pat dry.

Following 3 Days:

• Continue the above process three times a day for three days (morning, noon, and before bedtime). Cleanse your brows with plain water on a cotton pad, pat dry or air dry, and then apply a very thin layer of ointment with clean fingers.

• Avoid directly wetting your eyebrows in the shower or while washing your face. If they get wet, always pat dry as soon as possible.
• Steer clear of profuse sweating. Keep your brows as dry as possible, and wipe them clean after sweating, followed by patting dry.
• Resist the urge to pick, scratch, or peel. If your brows feel itchy, you can gently wipe off any excess or apply more ointment.
• Do not apply makeup or any products on your eyebrows until they are fully healed.
• Avoid sleeping on your face.
• Stay away from direct sun exposure.
• Refrain from facial massages, facial steaming, and sauna sessions.

Week 1-2:

• New skin will heal over the pigmented area, resulting in a softer appearance. Your brows will lighten and appear more narrow.

Week 2-3:

• While the skin is working hard to heal, your brows might actually appear lighter than the final result.

Week 3-4:

• The color will start to stabilize.

After 7 Days and Beyond:

• No ointment or special care is necessary. Your brows should be well on their way to healing.
• However, for optimum results, avoid the following:
  • Sunscreen other than natural mineral SPF.
  • Chemical peels on or near the brow border.
  • Fruit acids on or near the brow.
  • Retinol products on or within 2 inches of the brow.
  • Consider waiting at least 2 weeks before getting Botox.
  • Avoid microdermabrasion directly on the brow.
  • Stay away from creams that contain regeneration factors.
  • If you opt for laser treatment, always inform your therapist about your tattoo.
  • Note that Accutane and some hormonal therapies may cause premature fading, blurring, or discoloration.

Keep in Mind:

• Fading is normal and expected after the first appointment. Microblading is sometimes a two-step process depending on your desired results. Think of your first appointment as a base, and your touch-up as a final layer, akin to applying two coats of nail polish.
